This section of Dominonline.net holds Information on Domino. The following biography about her was written by me. Feel free to email me with any comments!

Alessandra Mirka Gatti

I wish I could write a whole huge biography, but there isn't much known. From what I've gathered, her music career started with Giancarlo Pasquini, aka Dave Rodgers on the label Discomagic in 1987. She wasn't a main vocalist, but she sung as a backup singer, and sung as "Eskimo" with the label Asia in 1988. She wasn't recongized until she took the alias Domino in 1988, under Discomagic with the song Fever. Until she co-founded ABeatC with her husband, Giancarlo Pasquini, no one really knew who she was.

She sung her first single with ABeatC, Fall In Love, in 1991. It was released on Super Eurobeat 15, but no one really caught on to her greatness as a singer. It wasn't till the recording of Your Freedom, which was released on vinyl in 1991, and on Super Eurobeat 16 in 1992, that people started to take notice. After recording songs with artists like Mike Skanner, Diego Vidal, and under the name Groove Twins with Annerly Gordon (who left ABeatC in 1994) she recorded Hot Confession, and Forever Young as "Domino." Fans of Super Eurobeat at this time when Eurobeat was progressing from Italo to the Eurobeat we know today, wasn't very big on her vocal style, but they were taking interest in this unknown artist who calls herself "Domino."

Her first track under the alias Juliet called Big Bang was recorded in 1992. That was followed by a very popular Italo Disco track released in 1993 called Behind You, and a Eurobeat track Domino Dancing. These songs caught the attention of the fans of the genre and Domino was beginning to become a favorite.

In 1994, she sung the one of the songs that Domino's is well known for, Tora Tora Tora. This song became a big hit with the Japanese. I wholeheartly believe this song is what put Domino on the Eurobeat map.

Her first song recorded under her alias Mirka was recorded in 1993 called Valentino Mon Amour. She also has sung under that alias in 1995 with another female vocalist with ABeatC, Valentina. During the time she was recording from 1992-1995, she was also recording songs under the name Groove Twins, like "Poison," "I Love Your Body," and "Love Bang Bang."

She then started singing the main vocals in several songs under the most shared alias between the female vocalists in ABeatC, King & Queen. Songs like He-Hey Dancing, Ya Ya Ya, and Para Para were very popular, and still are.

In late 1995, she recorded Beat Beat Freak, and Hot & Soul with a young female Japanese Eurobeat singer that had a promising eurobeat carrier with ABeatC, Aki.

The first song she sung with her Giancarlo Pasquini, aka Dave Rodgers, wasn't recorded till 1996. The song Friday Night wasn't a very good start for the singing duo, but they would release many better and memorable songs in the future.

Domino's first solo album was released in 1996. Titled "Tora Tora Tora," It held 14 of her Domino tracks from 1991-1996.

With the popularity of Domino growing, she started to just sing under the alias Domino, making that alias her second name. Some of those songs are as followed: Gimme 5 in 1996, Spinning Like A Top in 1997, Hi Hi Baby, I wanna Dance, Take A Chance in 1998, Play With The Numbers, Woa Woa Woa in 1999, To Say To Do To Kiss, Tomodachi Big Friend in 2000 .

She also recorded other songs under other aliases like Groove Twins, Juliet, and Go Go Girls between the times she recorded her Domino tracks..

In 2000, her second album, and 2 singles were released through Avex Trax. Her second solo album, self titled "Domino," held hits she's recorded as Domino between 1996-2000. Her CD singles, Popteen and Mickey Mouse March, were also released.

The Para Para boom in 2000 which prompted a really huge Eurobeat craze probably made Domino one of the most popular and loved female Eurobeat artist. The release of the Parapara Paradise video series, and the Para Para craze in clubs like Velfarre gave Domino, and other Eurobeat artists the opportunity to preform live. She has preformed in Japan many times. Some of her venues were at Velfarre and the Osaka Automesse 2002 and 2003 convention carshows.

With the craze of Eurobeat catching onto the Japanese, Disney Japan caught on and had Eurobeat artists cover their songs. This prompted Domino to have her most famous song ever. She covered the Mickey Mouse March in 2000 and that instantly became a favorite. That song is the one song she is most known for.

Domino's music has appear on video games too. Obviously, the majorty being on Para Para Paradise, but her music has also appeared in Dance Dance Revolution and IIDX.

Things have slowed down for Domino now a days. According to ABeatC, she will not be singing as much as she did from 2000-2002. She is focusing more on producing Eurobeat. As she says in her interview on SEB150's DVD - She hopes to do what she can do to make Eurobeat more popular again.

Around November 2003, rumours came around that she broke up with her husband of 12+ years, Dave Rodgers. This was just a rumour till February 2003, when I was able to get in contact with ABeatC, which is when I found out that this rumour was in fact unfortunately true. Though there are many theories on why they broke up, I believe that it just one of those things that happens. Again, it's unfortunate, but that's life.

Since the break up surfaced, the songs The Game Of My Name and Sunshine In Your Eyes were released, but no one knows if those are her last songs. Hopefully, we will see a lot more of Alessandra Mirka Gatti in the future - either in singing or producing!

Some trivial things known about Domino are: She was born in Milan, Italy. She hasn't disclosed her birthdate, but she does say she's a Scorpio, which means she was born between October 23 and November 21. She has a child with Dave Rodgers, named Fredrico. She loves to sew, and design her own fasion.
